About

Okay, I’m finally updating the ‘about me’ page, because according to the stats thingy at the bottom I haven’t updated it since May 24, 2009, and shockingly, things have changed. I’m not longer a lazy, Mike Daniels-obsessed high school sophomore with brown hair and braces. Okay, truthfully, in the world of procrastination I’m still considered royalty, but I’m not as bad as I used to be. I no longer have a major crush (some might’ve used the term borderline obsession, I can’t imagine why) on the sexually ambiguous Mike Daniels. (Though there is a new guy. I’ll fill you in later.) I graduated; I’m a junior now. I dyed my hair red a few weeks ago and I got my braces off at the end of the summer. I swear, it was like being born again. I am now able to smile with my teeth for pictures and eat caramel without feeling that ever-so-miniscule twinge of guilt. Oh, joyous day.

I do not excel at small talk. I laugh when it’s better not to, I can’t sit still, and my singing is the kind of torture they use on prisoners to get them to confess.

I love football. I can throw a damn good spiral, if I may say so myself, but that’s where my talent ends. I just love to watch. I swore for years that my football-obsessed family would never convert me, that football was a stupid sport that occurred in like three-second bursts of activity and I couldn’t stand it, but I can no longer live a lie. I know far too many football terms for a girl who claims to hate it.

I play tennis, but not competitively. I’m a really sore loser. What else… I like action/adventure movies and orange pop. In my mind, there is no problem that can’t be solved with a movie like Eagle Eye. You just can’t go wrong there, especially where Orange Crush is concerned. I’m not a huge fan of pop, actually. Orange Crush is the absolute exception. But, I dunno… when you haven’t had pop for a while, it just doesn’t taste as good when you finally get your hands on it.

I love to read — huge Harry Potter fan, right here. I also enjoyed The Book Thief, Rebel Angels, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Speak. And lots more. Lotslotslots. I probably shouldn’t read as much as I do, it gets in the way of stuff I SHOULD be doing — crappy things like studying… you know how it is.

That’s all, I guess. I probably won’t update this for another year or so. Stay tuned.
